How it works
Automatic Bark Detection
The sensitivity of the bark sensor can be adjusted according to your needs. Accurately setting the bark sensitivity dial will ensure the most effective training. False activations can occur if the auto-bark detection distance is set too high for a dog that is near the device. Alternatively, setting the distance too low for a dog that is 50 feet away will prevent activation and hinder training. The microphone will automatically detect barking from up to 50ft away.
Remote Control Activation
The included remote control allows you to train dogs outside of the automatic bark detection range. The ultrasonic sound emitted by the Bark Control Pro can reach dogs up to 150 feet away if unobstructed. This is great for training the neighbor’s dog to stop nuisance barking.

Questions & Answers
1. Will this work through fences, walls, windows, or bushes?
No. The high-pitched sounds emitted by the Bark Control Pro cannot penetrate solid objects such as wood fences, windows, walls or thick shrubbery. However, sparse trees, window screens, chain link and wrought-iron fences should work as long as there is direct line of sight to the dog. It is best practice to mount the device where there will be no obstructions between it and the dog.
2. Can the Bark Control Pro be used with an invisible fence?
We recommend you do not use any ultrasonic bark control device in combination with invisible fence systems. This is because the sound frequencies emitted by the Bark Control Pro are very similar to those emitted by invisible fence devices. This may cause confusion and interfere with the dog’s training.
3. How does the remote control work?
Your purchase includes a keychain-size remote control which can be used to activate the Bark Control Pro manually. The remote can be used up to 50 away from the main unit. This is convenient for on-demand training or if the distance between the dog and the unit is over the automatic bark detection range.
4. Can I use this to train my puppy?
Although ultrasonic sound is a safe form of training, we do not recommend it for use on puppies under 1 year of age as they are still developing their hearing. Please consult your veterinarian.
5. What is the Audio mode?
In audio mode, you will hear an audible tone when the device activates. Use audio mode when adjusting the bark sensitivity settings to accurately gauge the sensitivity of the bark-detecting microphone. In Audio mode you will be able to hear if the device is activating too often or not often enough. Adjust the dial up or down as needed and once you hear the unit ONLY activating when the dog is barking then you can flip the switch to the Ultrasonic mode and let the training begin. In addition, audio mode can be used for older dogs or dogs with poor hearing as an alternative to the ultrasonic sound training.
Proper use is important
To ensure the best results the Bark Control Pro must be placed in a clear line of sight to the barking dog. Ultrasonic sound waves cannot travel through solid objects such as wood or glass. Position the device in an area where the dog is most likely to bark. If correcting a neighbor’s dog, mount it above the fence line pointing down toward the dog. Adjust the bark sensitivity dial in relation to the distance of the dog to avoid false activations.
